Welcome the New Year 2024 in Benidorm! Spain
¡A Great New Year’s Eve Party in Benidorm!
For the seventh year in a row, Benidorm City Council and the Abreca association are putting on an incredible event along the Promenade of Levante Beach — the main stage will be right next to our real estate office on Avenida Bilbao 1. This amazing celebration has the backing of the Councillor’s Offices for Entertainment, Commerce, and Greater Festivities, ensuring an unforgettable night.
The New Year’s Eve party promises to be incredible! It will start at 7:00 p.m. and run until 1:30 a.m. It’ll be an unforgettable night full of great entertainment! Three local DJs will take the stage with energetic sets that will get everyone dancing.
But that’s not all. Local pubs, bars, and restaurants will also join in the New Year’s Eve fun and hand out grapes just before midnight. It’s a fantastic way to keep the tradition of New Year’s Eve celebrations alive. One of the best-known New Year’s Eve customs is eating 12 grapes at midnight—one for each midnight chime. Each grape symbolizes a month of the year and is said to bring good luck for the next 12 months: you have to eat them all before the countdown ends :)
Once the countdown is over, with the sound of the bells (Spanish time), a major pyromusical show will begin—combining music and synchronized fireworks. As a new feature, at 1:00 a.m. the event will link up with British television to broadcast the countdown live from London’s Big Ben. “It’s a nod to tourists from that country, who are increasingly choosing our city to see out the year.” — said Councillor for Festivities Mariló Cebreros.
To ensure even greater coverage of the bell chimes just before 00:00 and of the performances scheduled for that night, six LED screens will be installed! One will be on the stage, and the other five will be deployed along Levante Beach. Thanks to them, everyone attending the event will be able to follow it all from different locations. Whether you’re dancing near the stage or relaxing on the beach, you won’t miss a moment. The LED screen will broadcast all the performances, and you’ll hear the sound of the bells in a spectacular, dynamic way.
As in previous editions, to bother the neighbors as little as possible, the speakers installed will be pointed out toward the sea.
